Splash pads are a popular amenity in Tucson due to our gorgeous moderate climate (with 280+ days of sunshine every year!).
Currently, there are 28 splash pads that span the metro area - with more on the way!
As you will note from our list below, twenty of the twenty-seven splash pads in Tucson are open to the public. The other nine require membership or residence in a particular neighborhood.

Located within the master-planned community of Rancho Sahuarita, you'll find Southern Arizona's largest private splash park. It is clearly the #1 splash pad in the entire region. Features include water slides (large + small), lots of spraying water features, a shaded cover, and a huge bucket that dumps water over the heads of laughing little ones. New home developers and city officials ought to use Rancho Sahuarita as an example when they plan future spaces for families.
Also on-site: a main lap pool with recreational swim space, spa, shaded pavilions, tanning chairs, clean restrooms, picnic tables, a tot pool with shaded canopy, and an air-conditioned clubhouse.
The Heritage Splash Pad at Gladden Farms Community Park is an exciting 4,500 square foot free activity space for families. The modern equipment is farm-themed and includes a water windmill, a tractor, and spraying horses.
The splash pad sits beside other community facilities such as baseball fields, a playground, a community garden, walking trails, and grassy multiuse areas.
The best free splash pad operated by Pima County Natural Resources is unquestionably the one on the premises of Brandi Fenton Memorial Park.
Designed for children 12 and under (and the caregivers who accompany them), the splash pad boasts spray arches, water geysers, and many other water features.
The park also has covered ramadas, a shaded playground, two basketball courts, lighted soccer fields, and restrooms.
The Town of Oro Valley’s splash pad is located inside the state-of-the-art Oro Valley Aquatic Center, which includes a 50-meter Olympic pool, a 25-yard recreational pool, a water slide, four diving boards, family changing rooms, and shaded bleachers. The OV Aquatic Center also has an indoor classroom and outdoor shaded ramada for parties. The splash pad is small and colorful with flower-shaped water apparatuses and fountains that flow upward from the ground. Kids 3 and under are always free.
Operated by the City of Tucson, Jesse Owens Park's Splash Pad opened in 2024 on Tucson's east side on Broadway (between Pantano Rd & Camino Seco). The 1740 sf splash pad includes a water tower, umbrella, dump buckets, and several animal-theme water cannons
