Metropolis Man plays original music and cover songs in a blend of Soul, Folk, Blues, Rock n' Roll, and Americana music. After spending the previous 7 years as the founding member of Captive Cooks, Alex Metropolis started writing songs for a new project in 2020. After many months recruiting a bassist, and drummer, the boys then spent most of their time grinding out gigs all over the Southwest for the next 3 years. The band released their first single, "Thirsty Land" on all streaming platforms in April 2022, and plans to release more music next month. In addition to performing as a full band, Alex often performs more intimate concerts as a Solo Acoustic Artist as well. The current lineup features Bassist Joel Ekdahl (Manic Monkeys, Exploding Oranges), and Drummer Daniel Robinson (The Conveyors, Wallacehound, Dean Nelson).
