Red Herring Puppets present The Friendly Chupacabra / El Chupacabra Amigable, a bilingual puppet performance based on tales from Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. This legendary creature invokes fear and wonder, but in our telling, a brave girl and her goat tame the lonely beast with friendship. The show features a colorful scrolling backdrop, hand-crafted puppets, and original music and vocals by members of Tucson’s Las Azaleas mariachi band. The show is funded in part by the Jim Henson Foundation and the Arts Foundation of Tucson and Southern Arizona.
