Pima County is hosting a career fair in partnership with employers in the public sector including law enforcement and education on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kino Event Center, 2805 E. Ajo Way.
Pima County has the following departments scheduled to attend: Assessor, Community and Workforce Development, Facilities Management, Health, Human Resources, Information Technology, Justice Services, Juvenile Court, Library, Office of Digital Inclusion, Parks & Recreation, Pima Animal Care Center, Public Defense Services, and the Sheriff's Department.
Other employers expected to attend include: Arizona Department of Corrections’ Rehabilitation & Reentry, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Border Patrol Recruiting, Customs & Border Protection Office of Professional Responsibility, Child-Parent Centers, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Marana Unified School District, Pima Community College, Sunnyside School District, SunTran, Tucson Indian Center, Tucson Police Department, Tucson Unified School District, TUSD’s Office of Exceptional Education, and the Vail School District.
“We invite all job seekers to come explore opportunities not only with Pima County, but also with our community partners in education, law enforcement, and other public agencies,” said Cathy Bohland, Human Resources director. “If you’re looking for a fulfilling career while serving your community, you will find plenty of employers to speak with. Come and see what’s being offered.”
Many of the employers who are hiring will have staff members on hand to answer questions.
The County will have computers available for job seekers to apply on-site.
