Deadline to Comment on Pima County and City of Tucson's Updated Lighting Code

October 15, 2025

Pima County and the City of Tucson are updating the outdoor lighting code!

The Outdoor Lighting Code applies to all outdoor lighting throughout the City of Tucson and unincorporated Pima County. The code is designed to minimize light pollution, reduce energy waste, and protect access to the dark night sky for everyone.

Because the Outdoor Lighting Code affects everyone, your feedback is important. You can review the proposed changes at the links below and share your comments in the Pima County Outdoor Lighting Code Feedback Form. If you prefer, you may also email your comments to [email protected].

If you would also like to send comments to the City of Tucson, please view the City of Tucson's Public Comment Form.

This is a 30-day public comment period. All comments must be received by October 15, 2025.
