On November 10th from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m, there will be a campus-wide Block Party to celebrate the Tucson Museum of Art’s centennial year. The event will be filled with hands-on activities and experiences for all ages along with food vendors, music, and community partners including This is Tucson, the Chinese Chorizo Project, Mexican American Heritage and History Museum, the Tucson Presidio Museum, and FUGA Tucson.
Join FUGA Tucson for Westside Rides on Nov 10th, the ride starts at the Ward 1 office (940 W Alameda St) at 9am and will lead to TMA where you can join in on the block party festivities! Biking helps our cities have cleaner air, experience less car traffic, and increase visibility for bicycle riders, walkers, and rollers for safer streets.
Be sure to check-out a temporary ofrenda for Dia de los Muertos by artist-author Melani Martinez as well as a Chinese grocery store installation by chef-artist Feng-Feng Yeh, in the restored and reopened Casa Cordova from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. At 1:00 p.m. Melani Martinez will read an excerpt from her book The Molino: A Memoir in La Casa Cordova. And stop by Romero House’s Mudroom Gallery to view its new exhibition Women and Stories featuring works by Cristina Cárdenas and Lauren Garlovsky from 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Plan ahead with multiple road closures due to the DUSK Music Festival. The festival occupies 3 city blocks and Jacomé Plaza, in front of the Joel D. Valdez Main Library.
