Apple Annie's is a family farming operation located about an hour and a half southeast of Tucson in the town of Willcox. The property consists of two distinct farming locations:
Open daily between July and October, you can expect fresh air, wide open spaces, bountiful crops, and fun photo spots.
Passed from generation to generation since 1986, Apple Annie's has continued to grow and expand into one of the most visited you-pick fruit and vegetable farms near Tucson.
Apple Annie's Orchard is at 2081 W. Hardy Road, Willcox. Apple Annie's Produce and Pumpkins is at 6405 W. Williams Rd, Willcox. The locations are easily drivable between each other (~5 miles) and most people visit both locations during their visit.
Apple Annie's Orchard is open 8:00am-5:00pm daily (July & August) and 9:00am-5:00pm daily (September & October). Apple Annie's Produce and Pumpkins is 7:00am-5:00pm daily (July & August) and 9:00am-5:00pm daily (September & October). Check the website for updated and special event hours.
The pumpkin patch, corn maze, and sunflower fields are open daily through October 31. Hayrides are on weekends only. Cider donuts are made fresh on the weekends at the orchard location. As always, there is no charge for parking or admission. Pay for any fruit/vegetables that you pick and any activities that you choose to do.
Note that Apple Annie's is only open during the months of the harvest, July – October. Both farms close for the season on October 31.
Admission is FREE, but be sure to bring cash or another method of payment since you may want to take a hayride ($5 for ages 3-103), wander the corn maze ($), and/or purchase food & drinks.
Free and plentiful parking is available on a dirt lot.
Dress for the season. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and lightweight clothing are always a good idea for the summer months. In other seasons, throw a light sweater or jacket in the car just in case! Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are your best bet since you may need to do some walking to find your perfect pumpkin.
Bring water bottles, cash or a credit card (no checks!), and sunglasses. Apple Annie's provides buckets to collect your pickings and plastic bags for transporting back to your home, but you are encouraged to bring your own boxes for more secure passage of your veggies from the farm to your dinner table.
Yes. Restrooms for both men and women are available at each location.
Weekends are generally the busiest - especially Saturdays and Sundays. Weekdays tend to be less crowded.
Shaded picnic tables are available at the Apple Annie's Orchard location, but they are reserved for customers purchasing food on-site on busy weekends.
There isn't a sit-down restaurant, but Apple Annie's has an order and pick-up window called Orchard Grill. You can view the breakfast and lunch menus here.
Other concessions are also available for purchase - roasted corn on the cob, kettle corn, cider donuts, fudge, and pie.
There aren't very many restaurants in the immediate vicinity of Apple Annie's. You'll probably want to pack a picnic lunch, bring plenty of snacks, or plan to eat on-site.
All ages! You'll see lots of babies in arms and strollers, kids in wagons, teens in the corn maze, and grandparents holding small hands.
Sure! Note that complimentary wagons and wheelbarrows are also available for your use.
There is not a designated area, but there are benches and chairs that would work well for this purpose.

The Corn Maze is open daily, from the second to last weekend in September to October 31.
The sunflower field will be in bloom starting later in September. The opening date is weather-dependent. Single rows of sunflowers typically start blooming in August.
Pay for whatever you pick.
Upon arrival at the orchard or the produce farm, check in with one of the staff members at the sales area. You will be receive a map, a list of what is ripe and ready to pick, and information about the pricing of fruit/vegetables. Please pick in rows that are marked with the name of that crop in the row. If there is no sign, it is not ready to harvest yet.
You will be expected to purchase all of the fruit and or vegetables that everyone in your group picks. That said, you are welcome to sample the fruit right off the trees! That is part of the fun or pick-your-own and there is nothing on them except a little dust!
For all your gift-giving needs, the Apple Annie's Orchard Country Store is open year-round, from 9:00am-5:00pm daily - with the exception of New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
All pies, fudge, apple butters, apple breads, and jalapeño jarred goods are made from scratch on-site. The other jarred goods are made by a family operated business that grows the products at their farms.
Apple Annie's is not an organic grower, however, they use organic methods of pest control whenever possible. For many years they have practiced Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM is an effective and environmentally-friendly pest management program that uses a combination of common sense practices to control pests.
