Reid Park Zoo is offering a military appreciation discount and special activities commemorating America’s 250th Anniversary on July 4
Reid Park Zoo will be open on Independence Day, July 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be offering a military appreciation discount that day.
In honor of all who have served and those still serving, the Zoo is offering free admission for Active duty, National Guard and Reserve, Veterans, and Retired members of the military (with Military, VA, or Retiree ID).
Military dependents will receive discounted admission of $5 each.
*Military Members do not need to be present for dependent discount.
*For discounted and free admission present ID and purchase tickets at the Zoo entrance.
Guests can share the stories of some North American animal species at the Zoo during zoo keeper experiences featuring the Finley, the grizzly bear, at 9:00 a.m., Bayou, the American alligator at 10:30 a.m., and ruddy ducks in the Flight Connection Aviary at 1:00 p.m.
Daughters of the American Revolution, Presidio Chapter, will also be joining the Zoo for special activities and displays, plus will provide a free American flag to the first 250 guests to help commemorate this special July 4 – America’s 250th anniversary.
