The 22nd Street Bridge Revitalization Project, that will replace the existing weight-restricted bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) between Kino Parkway and Tucson Boulevard, as well as increase the number of travel lanes in each direction for improved east-west connectivity, is scheduled to begin construction in February 2026.
Before this work begins, the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), along with the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) and the contractor, Granite Construction, would like to invite the community to attend a public open house to learn more about the project, overall schedule, impacts to travel, meet the project team and ask any questions.
