Library Telescope Observing at Southwest Library

July 2, 2025 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Come and view the moon in the evening sky with the Southwest Library's new telescope, provided by the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association. TAAA staff will be available to demonstrate the use of the telescope and show off the moon! The 4.5-inch Orion StarBlast is well-known for its easy operation and compact design. The telescope is a great introductory-level instrument capable of imaging the moon, planets, and distant celestial objects, including the Andromeda Galaxy, located 2.5 million light years away!
