tucson teens girls philanthropy Tucson Teens: Apply to Participate in a Girls Philanthropy Program (Deadline: Sept 20) Are you a teen girl between the ages of 14 and 19 who wants to make a difference in Tucson and beyond? The Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona invites you to be a part of Unidas!

WHAT IS IT?
Unidas focuses on community service, leadership, social justice, and grant-making. Make a difference in our community for young women today!

PARTICIPANTS WILL:

  • become philanthropic gurus and dynamic community activists!
  • gain valuable community leadership and consensus-building skills
  • research and analyze social justice issues facing young women
  • review grant applications and conduct site visits
  • give away $7,500 to community organizations!

REQUIRED COMMITMENTS:

  • Retreat: Saturday, September 29, 2012; 10:00am-3:30pm
  • Meetings: Every other Thursday, October 4, 2012 – April 25, 2013; 4:00pm-6:15pm

YOU SHOULD APPLY IF YOU ARE:

  • 14-19 years old
  • interested in women’s issues and philanthropy
  • able to commit to scheduled meetings and occasional assignments
