Are you a teen girl between the ages of 14 and 19 who wants to make a difference in Tucson and beyond? The Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona invites you to be a part of Unidas!
WHAT IS IT?
Unidas focuses on community service, leadership, social justice, and grant-making. Make a difference in our community for young women today!
PARTICIPANTS WILL:
- become philanthropic gurus and dynamic community activists!
- gain valuable community leadership and consensus-building skills
- research and analyze social justice issues facing young women
- review grant applications and conduct site visits
- give away $7,500 to community organizations!
REQUIRED COMMITMENTS:
- Retreat: Saturday, September 29, 2012; 10:00am-3:30pm
- Meetings: Every other Thursday, October 4, 2012 – April 25, 2013; 4:00pm-6:15pm
YOU SHOULD APPLY IF YOU ARE:
- 14-19 years old
- interested in women’s issues and philanthropy
- able to commit to scheduled meetings and occasional assignments
