Are you thinking about putting your kids in camp this summer? Bear Essential News For Kids offers a great resource. Their April issue included a comprehensive list of the day camps and sleep-away camps available in Tucson and on Mount Lemmon.
You can access the information online at the Bear Essential Tucson Summer Camp Guide webpage. Each camp listing includes address, phone number, dates, times, and a short paragraph about the camp.
The guide recommends that parents research a camp thoroughly before choosing one by visiting the location, talking to directors and camp helpers, and asking lots of questions. Learn about safety procedures the camp uses, rules, and what is included (Lunch? After-camp extended hours? Etc). You could also read reviews online and/or ask to sit in on a few hours of camp to see what it is like.
