Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant will bring its fresh approach to burgers to Tucson when it opens its first location on Wednesday, November 20 at 4821 E. Grant Road.

Smashburger will serve up juicy burgers that are "smashed fresh, served delicious," along with its Haagen-Dazs ® shakes, tempting sides, and regional menu items crafted to please local’s palates in Tucson. This is the first of four Tucson Smashburgers slated to open by the end of 2014.

Each Tucson Smashburger will feature a regional menu created with regional flavors and tastes in mind. The Tucson menu includes the signature Arizona Smashburger, which is a 100-percent Certified Angus Beef burger, topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle mayo, and fresh jalapenos on a chipotle bun. Tucsonians can also enjoy the the Arizona Cobb Salad featuring a mix of fresh greens, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, and fresh jalapenos topped with spicy chipotle dressing.

We created the Arizona menu to reflect the fresh and fiery flavors of the region,” says Smashburger Founder & Chief Concept Officer Tom Ryan. “Guests will be excited about the unique burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads we’ve created, and we look forward to bringing these items to Tucson.”

Non-burger-eating customers can also enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, grilled and split hot dogs, and fresh tossed signature salads, along with a variety of sides including rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, fried pickles, Haystack Onions, and Veggie Frites (flash-fried  and seasoned asparagus spears, carrot sticks, and green beans). The restaurant will also serve a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including local beers, wine, hand-spun Häagen-Dazs shakes, and IBC® root-beer floats in frosted mugs.
