Celebrate Tucson’s 237th Birthday at the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum!

Enjoy a piece of cake!

Hear Mayor Rothschild’s proclamation at 11:00.

See the new model train exhibit inside the museum, sponsored by the Tucson Garden Railroad Society.

Listen to the whistle, the rattle, and the roar of mile long Union Pacific trains passing by the depot.

Visit the cab of Locomotive 1673 and ring the bell as the trains pass by. A docent will explain the functions and operation of the engine.

There will be additional operating model train layouts on display inside the historic depot and on the plaza, with operating Sothern Pacific semaphore and crossing lights on the plaza.
