tucson symphony audition Audition for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus (May 18) The Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus will hold auditions for new chorus members on Saturday, May 18.

Now is your chance to sing with a full orchestra and with fellow chorus members who have sung at the Met! Applicants should have a pleasant singing voice, be able to read music and adapt to various repertoire.

Audition Requirements:

• One prepared solo from the art song, operatic, or oratorio aria repertoire
• Two prepared choral excerpts
• Basic musicianship, including tonal memory, language reading/articulation (German and Latin), and sight reading (melodic and rhythmic)
• An accompanist will be provided

Rehearsals will be held on Monday evenings (7:00pm-9:30pm) throughout the concert season beginning this fall. During performance weeks, there are rehearsals or performances each night of the week.

In addition to the opportunity to make high-level music with Tucson’s best choral and orchestral musicians, benefits of singing in the TSO Chorus include complimentary tickets to select Classics and TSO SuperPops! concerts, plus free parking for concerts.
